Description
Mercedes-Benz 200-Series.
1973 280SE 4.5 V8 with an automatic (floor-mounted version, not wheel-mounted model).
Mechanically, I’d give it a 9/10. Hasn’t left me stranded once in my 10 years of ownership. Granted most drives were in town and down the 101, but still worth mentioning.
Any parts that needed work on, or needed to be replaced were always swapped with OEM parts. Recent work includes full Bilstein suspension upfront, fully replaced the engine ECU with a new OEM part, new battery, all hosing, and wiring has been updated recently with OEM.
I do have all 4 of the OEM clip-on rims (see 3rd photo). The wooden dash is off the vehicle for restoration but was paused due to a lack of time. It'll be included but will need additional work like resealing and filling in cracks/gaps.
Serious offers will be considered. No holding until payment is received.
Can send driving videos and documentation copies of work over $5k in recent years, email me your email if you'd like a copy at [email protected].
Back-right window is currently stuck in the down position, need to flip actuator/switch that controls the up and down to put back up. Replacement of part would be needed for full functionality.
