73 Mercedes Benz 280 SEL 4.5 V8
We listed this vehicle previously, but terminated the listing because we received the title from the owner yesterday and became aware of two important facts. (1) The vehicle is a Salvage Title - We believe this was issued based on the insurance claim for the body work done on the rear of the vehicle. (2) Vehicle is a 1973 not a 1972. We felt the easiest way to handle this was to terminate the listing and relist it with this new information.
Runs & Drives Very Nice – This is a one owner car which we are handling the sale of on behalf of a Charity here in the San Francisco Bay Area. The owner donated this car to the charity. We do have the original purchase receipt and the car always lived in the Bay Area. Unfortunately the owner did not retain service records and is not certain of the exact miles. I would classify the car as good driver quality, as it is a repaint and from inside the trunk you can see there has been body work on the panel below the trunk as well as a repair in the wheel well (see pics). The radio was changed to an aftermarket Alpine and the finish of the interior wood trim is old. However the car is still a very nice and can be taken out and enjoyed as is. Car has A/C which is all there but is not blowing cold and all power windows and locks work but front passenger window clicks once it reaches the top if you don’t let off the switch immediately.
