Description
The restoration still shows very well, with obvious care given since. The exterior, finished in a lovely emerald green, exhibits minor buffing marks from cleaning, but it still presents very well. This Cabriolet rides on painted steel wheels that are finished in emerald green are shod in Firestone Deluxe Champion whitewall tires. The engine is finished in a semi-gloss green, and the ancillary components, such as wiring, radiator hoses, copper tubing, and the air cleaner, have been appropriately renewed or detailed. The chassis displays a black semi-gloss finish. In addition, many of the driveline components appear to have been treated to a cleaning or paint detailing at the time of the restoration, and they still present well.
The interior displays well, with new brown leather seats and a complementing new beige custom fitted carpet with brown leather trims. The plethora of rich wooden trim is beautifully refinished and exhibits no apparent blemishes. The integral rear boot is finished in black carpet, and it is equipped with two levels of shelving, with trays for storage, and also stores the convertible top boot. This is a handsome pre-war Mercedes Cabriolet that could be shown with some minor detailing or enjoyed as a top-down tourer by its new owner.
