Meticulously maintained iconic Mercedes S class Sedan (280SE), this car has never been winter driven and has been pampered since new. Originally sold in Switzerland, the car was purchased 12 years ago from a local dealer and all detailed service records are available for the past 12 years along with the original service book detailing the service intervals. Stored in dry storage for the winter and comes with car cover. The car runs and drives like new, the tires and rims were replaced in 2014 to upgrade to the 15"rim with 4 new michelins, new springs and shocks have been installed, new brakes and rotors, new muffler and resonators (parts are all genuine Mercedes parts used) and all routine maintenance up to date. Rare color combination, some minor wear on the dirvers seat, specifically on the side (see pictures), otherwise the upholstery is in excellent condition, 2 wear spots on the rear carpet smaller than a dime (see pictures). The wood trim has some minor wear expected with the age of the car, exterior paint is in excellent condition with some minor rock chips which have been touched up (see pictures). The car is all original with European specs including the euro headlights which are adjustable with the heated washer system, power windows, locks, cruise control, fog lights, electric sunroof, manual climate control, 2.8 Litre Inline 6 engine. The ABS light does come on intermittently and all parts of the system have been replaced with the exception of the rear ABS sensor available at Mercedes benz, this issue does not affect braking in any way.The car runs and drives like new with a tight suspension, comfortable ride, and excellent turning radius for a car of this size. The car is used on weekends and evenings during the week and has always been garage kept, the mileage listed has been converted from Kilometers into Miles and is accurate as of the time of listing. The VIN on the car is WDB1260221A059818 and is not accepted in the specified field above where it is a european car. The Mercedes has a clean title and has never been in any accidents.
Upon end of auction a deposit of $500.00 non refundable must be made by the winning bidder within 2 business days via paypal, the remainder of the payment will be due upon pickup within 5-7 business days in either Cash or Bank Draft. No other forms of payment will be accepted. If the buyer fails to meet the payment terms the car will be relisted.
The buyer will be responsible for picking up and transporting the vehicle to its destination. The buyer will also be responsible for any taxes, licencing fees, and environmental fees required in their province/territory/state/country.
