Mercedes-Benz : 200-Series 240D

Priorities have made me decide to sell my pride and joy. I've driven hundreds of cars and nothing compares to the build quality and robustness of a well maintained 70s Mercedes-Benz. I'm the third owner. It was family owned before me. First owner was a doctor in Halifax. Second owner works for the air force inherited it after his uncle passed away. He sold it to me because he is in his 90s and can't drive anymore. All records since it left the dealer including the option sheet and all maintenance done are available. Never winter driven. Driven only on summer weekends. Never had any hint of any trouble during my ownership and from the records it seems that it never gave the previous owners any major trouble either as they did follow preventative maintenance religiously. Clean interior and exterior. This car was used as it should, although it isn't a museum piece, I would say it has normal wear you see on a 3 year old car. No dash cracks. Front and rear seats were redone very recently and they are in like new condition. Carpets are like new. Ceiling in like new condition. I changed the shifter boot with a new oem replacement as it was in bad shape. It has the original Becker Europa II Stereo which is in like new condition also. Mechanically it is sound. No smoke, no hesitation, no overheating, shifts smoothly, no noises from suspension at all, never had to add engine oil or any other fluids. I store it in my underground garage every winter and I make sure to start it and drive it a bit in the parking every 2-3 weeks. It starts right up in -40 degrees Celsius. I've made a lot of long road trips doing close to top speed for hours, it gets a bit loud but temp. gauge stays solid. I would drive across the country tomorrow without any hesitation. I will try to describe everything that is not in top shape cosmetically so distance buyer can get a clear idea of its shape. One ding on the rear left door (visible in pictures), I checked and it is fixable but it didn't really bother me. 3 inch scratch on the trunk visible only up close and can be buffed out for sure. 1 inch crack on the plastic door panel pockets. Oil change due soon. I have the filter ready, if I don't change the oil it will be included.Tires were replaced recently. All other maintenance is up to date.
