Description
** If you are having trouble bidding please let me know. For some reason when I check that I can sell worldwide, it goes back to only Canada.**
Amazing classic Mercedes in top shape. It has been taken care of religiously by all 3 owners (That's including me). First was a doctor who owned it till he passed away in 1993. Second owner was his nephew who inherited. I bought it of him because he is in his 90s and can't drive anymore. I have stacks of all maintenance records since new including all factory catalogs. It even has the original option sheet with the bill of sale and check! I'm studying mechanical engineering and I am truly amazed by how over engineered classic Mercedes-Benzes are. It is clear that luxury back then was having a car that is built to last. Records show all preventative maintenance was done regularly since new and the engine was rebuilt with other mechanical components and bushings replaced in 2007. All parts were sourced from the local dealership and replaced by a reputable Mercedes shop. Suspension is tight. Transmission shifts smooth. Starts right up every single time. No smoke. It has the original Becker radio. It was winter stored since new in a heated garage including this year. Previous owner and I drove it on dry summer weekends. I was told that there was no such thing as a reliable classic car when I was looking for one but the 240D is by far the most reliable car I know of. Never had ANY hint of trouble which makes me very sad to sell it but I'm leaving the country soon.
