MERCEDES BENZSLK 230 Kompressor - Ex Cond - Linarite Blue - New Mot - History

Up for sale now is my wife's SLK 230K which has just been for a new MOT, and drives beautifully. Although a late 1998 model, the car is still reasonably low mileage for its year at 136K. The car is finished in Linarite Blue, and has a two tone black & mushroom trim. The seats are also a matching two tone leather, whilst the centre consul is carbon fibre. All the dials in the instrument binnacle are white, echoing the large open top Mercedes of the 1950s.
The electric roof [which is an engineering marvel] works perfectly without any hesitation, and has a tight waterproof fit, it takes only 30 seconds to open or close the roof! The electric door windows too, close without hesitation with no leaking. The car stays very dry in winter, with no nasty damp smells. The alloy wheels are the attractive Mercedes 5 star pattern, with one rear tyre recently replaced for the Mot, the two front tyres were replaced a year ago. Everything works as it should, and the car has an efficient heating system in the winter, also fitted is a radio / CD player which works well.
The car is fitted with a custom grille from Germany, which we fitted when we first acquired the car. It also has a clear Mercedes windbreak fitted in behind the seats. There is also the issued black mesh windbreak, which is stored in the boot. The car has the usual kit in the boot to include First Aid kit, Warning Triangle, Spare wheel & tools etc.
In the last year the car has had an oil service [not due again for 5K miles] rear brake pads, new boot-lid hydraulic damper, new water pump, new auto-locking key fob [expensive!] new battery in Feb 2015, and a new rear tyre.
The condition of the bodyshell and underside are excellent! There is no rust on door bottoms or wheel arches, and the original paintwork still glistens after it has been waxed. The car has not only been looked after by us, but also by previous owners. Of course there are a few tiny scratches, but nothing obvious and they are commensurate with the age of the vehicle. Even with the roof folded into the boot are, there is still room underneath for shopping, or a couple of soft overnight bags. As a weekend "getaway" car in the summer these cars are such fun, and we have found this one to be ultimately reliable, and good on fuel too on the motorway etc. Only selling now as we need a bigger second car.

The winning bidder can be picked up at Brockenhurst mainline station [ in the New Forest] or at Winchester mainline station. If coming by road we are close to all main routes, to include, M27 / M3 / A27/ A34 etc.
