Mercedes 250 S

Before reading further: This is a project car, it has numerous faults which are typical of a 50 year old mercedes so if you are looking for a pristine registered drive car,this is not for you. But if you are interested in owning a Vintage Mercedes ,one of their Better models you may wish to consider this car.

Mercedes W108 250 S. Carburettor engine,twin Zeniths ,which appear to be working well.
Power steer,no leaks .
four reasonable tires.
Country car,Holbrook NSW then Toowoomba Qld when it has been in covered storage for many years.
Has rust in the front of both sill sections and the rear boot boxes on both sides,doors and floors are rust free.
I can repair the rust for the successful bidder for a fixed price.
Mostly original paint.
MBtex parchment interior in good condition with a good dash,no cracks .Temp guage has been substituted with an aftermarket unit (someone has probably broken the capillary on the original unit. )
Runs,Drives and brakes fine. Needs an engine overhaul as it has plenty of blowby and piston slap .probably cheaper to swap in a M110 DOHC engine .
I can rebuild the engine for the successful bidder for a fixed price.
Trans and diff are OK.
No service history other than it has been cared for throughout it's life and belonged to a early member of the NSW Mercedes club .
It can be driven so no problem getting CEVA or who ever to ship it and will come with a new battery .
I have no room for this car,and I originally bought it to part out,but as it's such a good car it's a shame to do that so i am offering it as a project for someone who would appreciate it as a fine car which can be used as daily driver.
