classic 1976 Mercedes-Benz 300D Base Sedan 4-Door 3.0L

The Benz is definitely a project car. But it does run and drive.
Abelt squeaks when you first start driving, when accelerating, but goesaway after about a mile. There's a little bit of a vague wandering whendriving. Nothing dangerous though. It shifts a little hard, but if youlet off the gas a bit as it's about to shift its much easier. It wasrepainted in the 90's due to the clear coat peeling off the top half,but its doing it again. The whole top half has no clear. There was somebody work done before I bought it. There is some rust on the quartersand fenders. I haven't seen under the car.
Ibought the car from a friend of a friend with the intention of slowlyfixing it up, but lost my job soon after and now I don't have the timeor money to fix it up like I wanted to.
