Tyres: 5 New Dunlop 205/70R14 tyres
Engine Cooling: New water lines to cylinder heads, radiator serviced and cleaned.
Engine Ignition:Original Bosch ignition, with recently serviced distributor with new original dual points and spark plugs.
Bosch Mechanical Fuel injection: cleaned injectors and replaced rubber injector seat flange mounting
Air suspension: Full overhaul of the air suspension, comprising:
Full original restoration of suspension elements due to normal rubber deterioration through age.
Rebuilding work included: Air Compressor rebuilt, Air tank rebuilt, new air bellows, bosch level valves, new square o´ring seals, new air regulator, serviced alcohol filter and new suspension air filter. There are no leaks present in the air suspension and it works like new, with the correct ride height and stiffness.
Air conditioning: Original A/C system working correctly
Interior condition: The interior is completely original and in mint condition.
Seats and doors upholstered in the original blue velvet velour.
Dash is in perfect perfect with no cracks
Headliner and sun visors are in mint condition
All wood work is factory original, and in perfect condition, yet with the original varnish from the factory.
Carpets are all original and in very good condition, original Mercedes blue velour carpets.
Transmission: Original Mercedes 4 speed transmission. Transmission works perfectly, shift and drives like new. No transmission fluid leaks from the gearbox casing or from the torque converter which was serviced and sealed. Being an exotic bolted aluminium two part converter. it is prone to leaks and is very difficult to service properly. This one is like new, using special Star Motors NY seals.
Power Steering box: Power steering box was rebuilt with original Mercedes Benz seal kit, no leaks present in the system, new high pressure flexible lines.
Brakes: New stainless steel brake lines were installed. All calipers were rebuilt. This early car comes with the rare ventilated discs, the front ones have been replaced by new originals
Front suspension: Rebuilt front suspension wishbones, bushings and ball joints
Fuel tank: Interior cleaning and painting of fuel tank, fuel sender unit service
Dampers: Original new rear Bilstein units have been fitted. and adjustable front Koni in the front.
