1980 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series

This Mercedes had undergone a 2 year mechanical restoration by a Mercedes enthusiast with a multiple car collection. So much work has gone into this car from a work and parts standpoint. The entire brake system is new, even the master cylinder and brake booster. The entire suspension is new. The entire fuel system is new or refurbished. The steering system is all new. Brand new tires. All rubber parts on the underside of this car have been replaced even down to the muffler hangers. Engine is not the original but has good compression and has a rebuilt turbo, new alternator, water pump, vacuum pump, starter, all new hoses and belts. New power steering hoses, new oil cooler lines, new transmission cooler lines. Wheel bearings have been repacked with factory green grease and the preload has been set. Rear axle shafts have been rebuilt with new boots and grease, new differential side seals, differential has been flushed. Transmission has been flushed with new filter.
The not so good: the a/c system is not operational currently (needs a new compressor and a flush of the system, the servo is good). the interior is ok, not perfect (although comes with new factory floormats) it has a cracked aftermarket dash cover. The rear window is delaminated in one spot ( all w116s do this) It has had an ok repaint in the past but the clearcoat is peeling a bit.
THERE IS NO RUST ON THIS CAR!
