This 1966 Mercedes-Benz 300SE is finished White over Red and wasoriginally delivered in Germany and then sold to the second ownerbrought home to Lebanon where it has been for the last 20 years. Theseller purchased the car a year ago and has had some light restorationkeeping the car looking and running original as possible and to enjoydriving this last summer. The intention of a ground up restoration thiswinter though new priorities have changed the plans. This 300SE Cab isnow being offered for sale in California with a clean California titleand current registration with 4258KM.
The 300SE was based on the W111 chassis and was available as a coupe,convertible, or sedan. Standard features for the more luxurious W112included air suspension and power steering, as well as an automatictransmission. 14” painted steel wheels wear color-matched Mercedes-Benzstar hubcaps and chrome trim rings.
Serial Number – 112023-12-007123
The fuel-injected 3.0-liter M189 inline-six was factory rated at 175horsepower when paired with an automatic column shift transmission whichmakes for fun and spirited open-air drives. The light restorationincluded the refurbished interior, some light paintwork in the enginebay and where there was light rust. The mechanical work performedincluded the power steering pump and seals, distributor cap, refreshedfuel injection seal and lines cleaned, oil and fuel filters and radiatorcleaned. The air suspension compressor is intact though the airbagshave been replaced at some point with leaf springs. Engine bayrefinishing was limited to paintwork on the valve cover, power steeringreservoir and dipstick.
