Description
Mercedes-Benz 300D-Series purchased from the son of a Doctor in Little Rock, this Benz is immaculate for it's age. Some of the trim has been refinished by an artist who specializes in refinishing automotive trim with a burlwood finish. Car comes with an extra already refinished center console cover because these always seem to wear first.
EVERYTHING on the car works, heat, ac, lights, sunroof, etc. The maintenance records are extensive, they show that as of 01/10/97 when the vehicle was put in storage a total of $30,480.14 had been spent to maintain the vehicle. I can provide records these in an excel spreadsheet upon request. This Benz has always been a Southern car. There is not a trace of rust anywhere on it.
I'm a Service Manager at a dealership and I bought the vehicle about three years ago. When I bought it I replaced the shocks and struts, the fuel pump, changed the fuel filters, replaced the clear front turn signal covers and put on new Continental tires. I always run Continental's on a Mercedes because they ride great! This car comes with lots of spare parts, front and rear brake pads, rear emergency brake shoes, valve cover gasket, fuel filter, extra tail light fixtures, fuel and vacuum lines, etc. I purchased the special tools and instructions to adjust valve lash but I haven't had time to do it.
I have new position that's very demanding so I do not have time to devote to the regular maintenance and repairs that come with owning a 30 plus year old vehicle. Is this Benz perfect? Of course not, it's over 30 years old. Would I drive it on a 500 mile trip? Yes I would, it's a great car! I must add that the Benz is being sold "AS IS" with NO WARRANTY. Any serious buyer is welcome to preview the vehicle in person or send a designate to view and or test drive the vehicle. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions
