Description

I will attempt to describe this car to the best of my ability and be as transparent as possible.

I purchased the car more than 4 years ago off of eBay. The seller was a former MB mechanic that had purchased the car from an estate sale in Dallas. That is what really excited me as the car had been purchased new in Dallas by a woman that had recently passed. The entire history of the car was included. Every single maintenance receipt from the same MB dealer was present. Also, the window sticker and other assorted documents illustrated the care and money the car had enjoyed. At the time, the car had about 85K on it and I had it shipped here to NJ.
I proceeded to find a MB mechanic that specializes in older cars and had a fair amount of work done. For example, converting the air along with numerous other items. (By the way, this garage is able to further flesh out the car history to any serious buyer) I garaged the car and tended to it lovingly for the past 4 years. So as my kids are now in college, my wife and I are downsizing, the car must go. I just put 6K into the car for brakes, air and other items.
Everything works on the car and it is a real head turner. (I have 2 extra original radios-even the original first aid kit) Also the MB mechanic gave me a big box of W123 parts-that is also included in the sale along with an extra front bumper. Now, I must fully disclose, I noticed some surface rust at the rear wheel area when I was taking pictures for this post. The garage can confirm that there is no rust elsewhere, and this is minimal but I want to be transparent as possible. Also I recently removed the pinstripe.
On Sep-11-21 at 13:04:08 PDT, seller added the following information:9/11 update: After reading the auto report here on Ebay it looks like the original owner sold the car in 1989. The same dealer serviced the car post transaction. It was that owner that died in 2010 and then was purchased by the MB mechanic-I have the estate docs. Frankly, I cant tell if the original owner sold to a family member based on the notes in the file. In any case the mileage and service history is fully fleshed out to 2017-when I purchased the auto.
