Description

1991 Mercedes-Benz
300TE 4-Matic Wagon

1991 Mercedes-Benz 300TE 4-Matic Wagon. Champaign metallic exterior over beige leather interior. Extremely clean body with completely rust-free door jams, wheel-wells and underbody. Very low miles. Only three previous owners from new. Vehicle comes equipped with Mercedes’ robust 4-Matic all-wheel-drive system, which was a relatively rare feature. Genuine factory leather interior (not the usual MB-Tex), self-leveling rear suspension, and third row seats with three-point harnesses.
Vehicle runs and drives great. I recently made a very comfortable 1,000+ mile cross-country trip in this wagon and wouldn’t hesitate to do so again. The inline-six cylinder engine produces excellent power and is very smooth. The transmission shifts crisply through all gears. The four-wheel ABS disc brakes stop the car securely. The suspension is tight without any rattles and the self-leveling system is working correctly. The 4-Matic all-wheel-drive system and Automatic Slip Regulation is in perfect working order. Nearly new tires on all four wheels. This wagon starts immediately without any hesitation and all of gauges on the instrument cluster are read correctly and no warning lights are illuminated. There is no smoke or vibration. This wagon appears to be in excellent mechanical condition and the only things that I’ve been able to find include a muffled exhaust leak and some squeaks at low speed from the brake pads. Comes complete with service records going back several years, documenting the very comprehensive servicing and care that this wagon has routinely received.
All of the power equipment and electronics are in good working order including the power driver and passenger seats, steering column, sunroof, as well as all of windows, with the exception of the left rear. All of the lights and signals work correctly. The automatic climate control is working, but the a/c is not cold. The locks need to be manually engaged. The leather interior is in very good condition with no unpleasant odors.
This is very likely one of the cleanest W124 wagons currently listed for sale anywhere. If you have been waiting for an exceptional 300TE, this is an ideal example for your collection.
PLEASE READ BELOW
Although in very good condition overall, this is a historic vehicle that will naturally show signs of use and age, both mechanically and cosmetically. This wagon is not new and the purchaser should fully understand and accept this before placing a bid or otherwise agreeing to purchase it. A vintage vehicle such as this will not drive or function like a new car, and the buyer should not expect such. This wagon is being sold AS IS with no warranty of any kind stated or implied. Although I have tried to capture as much as possible within this listing, there may be mechanical and cosmetic details that were not captured within this description. No exceptions will be made for any components, whether mechanical or cosmetic, that are not up to the purchaser's standards. Only bid on this auction if you are serious about owning this vehicle and will follow through on the terms and conditions stated herein. Test drives and in-person inspections are welcomed and encouraged, but must completed prior to the end of the auction. Please ask any and all questions that you have before placing a bid or otherwise purchasing this wagon. This is a No Reserve auction and will sell to the highest bidder; however, I am open to all reasonable offers prior to the close of the auction. A $300 nonrefundable deposit is due at the close of the auction through eBay and must be received no later than 24 hours after the auction’s end. The remaining balance is due within Three (3) days without exception via bank wire/Zelle, bank check, or cash. If you cannot agree to all of the terms specified above, I ask that you kindly not bid. I am happy to help organize low-priced professional transport of the wagon to you following the sale through an experienced broker that I have successfully used many times in the past.
