1984 Mercedes-Benz 380 SL Roadster.Two tops and mechanically serviced.

Offering this 1984 380 SL in original DB 904 Dark Blue for sale. It came out of its long-term owners garage where it had been parked for several years.
The children of that owner started to do repairs at the Mercedes dealer and the expenses quickly got out of hand.
It needed a full mechanical reconditioning. All the fluids, brakes, brake lines, exhaust system and bushings were done.
The brake work included a new master, rotors, lines, etc.
The fuel injection unit was also serviced.The radiator was flushed as well.
A correct new battery was installed, New K member bushings, All fluids were changed, New stainless exhaust from the catalytic converter on back.
All of the electrical items were checked and serviced as needed, everything works exactly as originally intended on the car.This includes the windows, the blinkers, the horn, all lights and electrical items etc.
Finally, the air conditioning system was serviced and recharged with R12.It blows really cold!
It has both keys as well as its original owners manual, data plate, and all supplements.
The car only has sorting miles on it since all of this work was done.It starts beautifully, runs silently and handles really well. The timing chain is silent on startup so we did not change it.It had been done previously.I drove this car a bunch this weekend.
Cosmetically it is nice, it has 110,000 miles. The interior is leather and in good condition, there is some wear visible on both seats but no tears or holes.
The wood is all nice original, all of the gauges and instruments work. The air-conditioning blows cold on original R12 as mentioned previously.
The wheels and brand new tires are excellent with no rash, the spare wheel and tire are original and show signs of use & wear.
The car has both tops, the original blue vinyl top is in good condition but the plastic is discolored and cracking.
The original blue hardtop is in very good condition both inside and out.
The dash has one crack in it and is otherwise in good condition.
The sheet-metal is good, there is no rust or rust repair on the underside. There are a couple very small areas of rust on the car which have been carefully treated and touched up.
Each front quarter panel has a smaller-than-a-quarter size area of bubbling right at the front of the side trim where it connects to the car.Each spot was carefully sanded to remove rust and touched up.There is one small rust bubble area on the top front of the right fender. All areas of rust are smaller than the size of a quarter, and are repairable.I have pictures of all and can send.
The underside is excellent and has no rust or rust repair. I have many pictures of the underside as well.
The blue paint appears to be all original, it is a phenomenal color. The interiors is gray.
