Description
Mercedes-Benz 300-Series. 300GD Not sure why heading says "Black".
Very nice specimen. Diesel motor runs strong, newly rebuilt automatic transmission (late 2021), and a variety of repairs. My intent was to fully restore this beast. It runs great but needs a vacuum pump (transmission) for it to run ideally.
Interior is nice, leather seats, pretty clean for it's age.
The fuel gauge needs to be replaced and the heater runs kind of weak. I had the electrical cleaned up and thoroughly gone through so you will have to find those parts if you like.
I had the gas tank thoroughly cleaned and sealed with new blanket and sending unit.
The paint is good. Couple areas of surface rust, but not much. The undercarriage is in great shape with little to no rust.
This is definitely meant to be a project; it can be driven around town and is fun to drive but still needs some fine tuning for it to be it's best =$$
I've put $7,000 worth of repairs into it this year.
The 3.0 liter inline-five cylinder OM617 engine used in the 300GD is legendary for its longevity, with some examples lasting over a million kilometers before needing a rebuild.
vin is: WDB46033217047783
the guage says 71,000 + km =approx 44,000 miles but is prob. 144,000
hard to tell from the past listing related to vin. It's Originally imported form Belgium.
