Description
This classic beauty runs perfectly! Priced to sell asap because: - I got a new car and cannot garage two cars and
- it's considered a salvage. Salvage Title was due to a biodiesel fuel contamination four years ago; no collisions or accidents (thank goodness). All fuel lines were replaced with sturdy Viton for easy biodiesel use with no rubber degradation. Can run on diesel and/or biodiesel in any combination. Selling to a lucky buyer with a full tank of local renewable diesel made from local recycled waste that's been processed for high performance in diesel vehicles. But also runs great with regular diesel if you prefer.
This is a spacious four-door sedan in glamorous "midnight blue" (Mercedes name for this color) complete with power moonroof, centralized automatic locking, velvet-covered dashboard, four power windows, cigarette lighter/charger, CD player with AM/FM radio, gentle but working air conditioning, powerful heat, spacious trunk, and the turbo is a great improvement over other vintage diesels that have little pickup.
Luckily this car has been garaged for most of its life in mild weather, so you'll see there's very little rust underneath (shown). Immaculately maintained. Underside has been steam-cleaned. Additional recent maintenance:
- four new Uniroyal tires!
- new front brake pads, rotors, and sensors!
Some cosmetic wear and tear to be expected with a car of this age (as shown): driver sun visor doesn't work so I duct-taped it to the roof as a temporary fix, passenger sun visor small crack, and I patched the leather on the driver seat (badly). Slight exterior sun fading on rear trunk.
Currently garaged and available for pickup at a secure, locked facility in Koreatown, Los Angeles. Easily accessible by Metro Red/Purple Lines (Vermont/Wilshire station).
A great investment at an amazing price! Haven't you noticed how many vintage Mercedes are still out on the road? Evidence that these models last and last with proper care and maintenance.
