Description

THIS IS A VERY SPECIAL CAR:At the time of its release to the marketplace, only 500 of these sport sedans were exported to North America. It was the fastest 4 door sedan in the world, being capable of 140+mph (240 kph).
Brock Yates, a noted automotive journalist and road test expert was hired to evaluate the 6.9. He agreed under the stipulation that he be allowed to highlight the negative aspects he found, as well as its strengths. He drove the car to Road Atlanta from New York, a noted road racing circuit in Georgia, and put 100 miles on it at racing speeds. He completed the distance at an average speed of 72 mph, often reaching 120 mph around the circuit.
At the end, he said “The car rolled into the pits and aside from a slight, completely normal hissing from the hydropneumatic suspension as it readjusted itself, the 6.9 was behaving as if nothing happened, much like a strong young thoroughbred after an early morning exercise”.
He said also: “This incredible machine had just been flogged for100 miles on one of the most rigorous stretches of road to be found anywhere, and it was now appearing to shrug its shoulders and await the next challenge…….the 6.9 looked as if it had just completed as low speed tour through Central Park”.
This is a Canadian car, sold new in British Columbia, an area with a mild climate which explains its relatively rust free condition. It has had three owners, the second of whom drove it to Nova Scotia where it was sold to a collector and where it spent the last 10 or so years of its life. It was recently donated to the ALSNBNS support and charity (Lou Gehrig's Disease), and I am selling this car for them. All proceeds will go to this incredible organization that supports the families and victims of this terrible disease.
The car has been well maintained and everything works as it should. Recent maintenance and repair receipts are available. When received by the ALS group, it had a dent in the trunk lid, and a small amount of rust in the rocker under the "C" post. Both were repaired correctly (no Bondo) and are now undetectable. There were also wear spots on the front seats and professionally repaired to a very high standard. The car is as good as it looks in the photos. Buy it and drive it or show it.
I will be happy to answer any questions or supply extra photos if requested. Please note that this car has a metric odometer and the miles shown were converted from the kilometers on the speedometer.
The car is being sold without warranty, as is, where is. a Bill of Sale must be signed and returned before sale will be completed, and payment must be by Bank Wire Transfer. Limited assistance can be provided to arrange shipment or delivery, but at the Buyers expense. This car is being offered for sale by the ALSNBNS Charity in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada by volunteers and all proceeds will go to the Charity.
