Mercedes C126 500SEC Lorinser (very rare car, S-Class Coupé, ECE Europe)

Legendary are the widebody AMG displacement monsters with the brute 6.0 4V engine from the 80s, or Koenig Specials with widebody and turbocharging.
In addition, there were countless well-known tuners such as ABC, SGS Styling or Carat Duchatelet. Who finds such a copy today can be sure to own one of very few! Mostly the numbers of surviving contemporary witnesses can be counted on one hand.
While the AMG 6.0 4V meanwhile achieve prices up to 285'000.- Euro / more than 320'000$ on auctions, sometimes with a little luck comparable models from not less known tuners can be acquired for less than 100'000.-.
Here you have the opportunity to buy one of these rare cars. Not an AMG, but an equally rare Lorinser complete conversion.
The car has been in my collection for several years, but due to family changes it is being sold - but not given away!
The vehicle was purchased in the 80s for just under 140,000DM new price.
About the vehicle:
The C126 went from the factory in 1985 very well equipped to Lorinser, where it was completely modified.
The following Lorinser modifications are installed:
- complete styling package (rear apron, front apron, side skirts, rear spoiler)
- interior extended wood package, incl. door panels, speaker covers, trim strips under the windshield
- Minibar completely trimmed in leather and precious wood (with compressor in the cofer compartment)
- Lorinser sport suspension
- Lorinser HIFI system Blaupunkt with speakers in door, parcel shelf and B pillar
- Lorinser stainless steel sill trims
- Lorinser sport differential 2.65 with lock
- Lorinser sport steering wheel
- Lorinser sport speedometer with polished chrome rings
- Lorinser sport exhaust
- Sportbrake Discs
In the last years some things were overhauled:
Blaupunkt HIFI system was completely overhauled, new beading from specialist glued to speakers. Power amplifier in the trunk replaced by a new one. Two oval woofers discreetly incorporated into the parcel shelf and everything trimmed to each other.
New ATE brake caliper, new brakes HA, new shocks, bumper grille GFK remodeled from steel (as original only 10x more robust), ignition control unit overhauled, etc.
Suspension was removed (is completely original Lorinser available and gives it separately) and replaced against H+R springs all around and shortened, new Bilstein shocks VA.
The rims are Rial type A in 8.5x17 (235/45/17) and 9.5x17 (275/40/17) unique, single bolt circle (no rebored BMW!!) and registered by individual acceptance.
The vehicle was processed at the rear wheel arches, so that rims up to 11x18 are mountable depending on ET!
at the VA the fenders were flanged and pulled, that even at 10mm lower than now the 8.5 Rial can be driven without problems with 235 rollers!
Spacers 3mm VA and 10mm HA also registered.
The car has installed the strong M117.965 Engine with Tri-y headers and double Air Intake Filter and ECE ignition!
Additionally I can sell a 300HP M117.968 also.
The vehicle stands honestly and very well.
The vehicle is a comfortable cruiser, absolutely suitable for everyday use and with a pressure on the gas pedal not at all slow even compared to new cars.
Sold is the Lorinser from place in Switzerland to a fan, or lover.
According to Swiss law and jurisdiction Switzerland, without warranty or guarantee.
On this way private, because this year some Classic fairs and auctions have fallen into the water while virus situation worldwide.

The car has an overall condition of 2-3, paint could be redone, but does not have to. small dent rear right. Wood trim parts would need to be redone for condition 1. Belt bringer and day counter on speedometer would need to be repaired. Otherwise very good condition. Unfortunately, no original delivery documents or service booklet more available. air conditioning and minibar should be refilled.
