Mercedes Benz 500SEL 4D Sedan

Up for auction I reluctantly have my1982 500SEL Mercedes Benz for sale. The car isn't perfect but nevertheless it is still in reasonable condition for a 30 year old car.I used to drive it to work everyday without any issues. There are a couple rust spots on the car which I have included in the photos.I have owned the car sinceMay 2000, and have spent lots of $$$ on it through out that time I have owned it.( Yes I do have most receipts for the money spent on it ) It has front and rear electric seats which do work. It has also electric wipers on the headlights , which used to work but for some reason not working now.I'm not a mechanicand have limited mechanical knowledge. It has full proper custom made sheepskins in the car. which cost me nearly $2000.00. I have recently purchased a new battery, and it starts first time every time. however it tends to idle a bit fast in the beginning, and then settles down when the engine has warmed up. I did have the car resprayed a couple of years ago, but wasn't done very well, and now it has minor paint blotches over the body. This car would be ideal for a mercedes benz enthuisiast to spend a bit of time and money on it to bring it back to it's former glory, of which I have neither. The car has just been sitting in my back yard unregistered for the past two years, but now it has to go as its taking uptoo much room. The car will be sold unregistered and without a RWC. There are probably other minor issues with the car, that I have forgotten to mention, so that is why it is strongly advised to have a pre-inspection of the car before bidding. No time-wasters please.
