Some Service History
Evidence of recent repair work (new alternator £395, new starter motor £160, alternator belt, front and back brakes, though lost invoice for front brakes many more receipts for various work done)
As is common with these cars, it is suffering from early Stages of rust around the wheel arches and some signs on door (see pics). Dealer has told me though for the age of the car, it's not that bad and many others have it a lot worse.
I want to be honest about the mileage. When I bought the car two years ago I was sold it as only having 67000. However, recent review of recent MOAT'S tells me it had done 1380000, so that plus the difference equates to roughly 150000. However, again the dealer said dashboards were a common fault on these cars which could explain the difference in readings, but I haven't got anything to verify this, so selling as 150000 on the clock for transparency.
Due to the interior being a light grey cloth, it could benefit from a deep clean valet. Along with some good waxing and polishing. It really does come up a treat when the work is put into it.
The alloys have suffered a bit to age, still come up pretty well, but could do with some tlc if you wanted (see pics). There is a cracking in passenger side wing mirror indicator casing, but does not affect the function of it.
It really is a nice car to drive, and runs smoothly. The only other issue is it has lost its "kick" in acceleration. From it bring hooked up to a star machine, it is believed to be the MAP sensor. However, I have been driving it like this for some time, and it really doesn't bother me, as I can shift through the gears manually when needed. The transmission itself shifts beautifully, so I never found it a problem. Personal preference I guess.
Full years MOT,that only has two advisories - new tyre and. And inner rack ball joint having slight play.
The car has been priced to sell, as I know on ebay some go for in excess of £2500. Therefore,please no silly offers!
I am selling as I want a newer car, and less power as I don't do a lot of big drives any more, and more pottering around, so just need a smaller compact car.
I have tried to be as honest as I can with all aspects of the car, so viewing is invited to verify what I have said here. See pictures.
