Mercedes-Benz C Class 2.1 C220 CDI SE 4 door. FSH, 12 months MOT, Dab, Bluetooth, parking sensors & Auto daytime running lights.
Up for sale is my father’s C220 cdi in the very desirable gleaming Obsidian black paintwork. The MB is a totally unmolested example and as genuine as they come. Even has the original genuine quality engraved MB floor mats, MB engraved key ring and the MB tool kit!
This has been driven by me this week for over 400 miles to confirm everything is spot on. It has been meticulously maintained since new this is evident by the way it drives and the comprehensive service history and receipts. It has never let us down and has been only driven for just over 5,000 miles over the last year. It has always been warmed up properly and cooled down with only BP or Shell diesel fuel being used.

This car ticks all the right boxes in the specification department which includes:

• 2.1 litre 170bhp 16v Diesel engine - gets us around 600 miles to a full tank

• Rear Parking sensors - saves hundreds of pounds on bumper repair costs

• Factory Fitted basic DAB radio - unbelievable reception and sound quality. A must have option nowadays

• Front daytime running lights with automatic headlights

• Automatic climate control –two zone with dust filter and air re-circulation & Air Conditioning

• Multi-function steering wheel to control Bluetooth, mute, audio and volume

• Heads up display - shows you mph you are travelling digitally, miles left in diesel tank, tyre pressure loss monitor, reminder of rear seat belt engagement and any service requirements needed.
• 4 x Electric windows with one touch opening and closing including obstructing sensors

• Built in 6 CD/MP3 audio 20 player with AUX in socket in glovebox
• Electric adjustable driver seat
• Electric boot which opens from key fob – a very handy gadget when holding bags.

• 6 speed manual gearbox – very slick and smooth operation

• MOT just done and expires June 26th 2016

• Comprehensive/Full MB stamped service history - 10 stamps in the book. 5 from MB dealer with receipts and other 5 at same Bosch approved service centre. Genuine MB clutch and flywheel renewed in 2012. Geometry check and toe adjustments done in 2012. Last serviced in Jan 2015 at 151k at BenzTec Ltd (one of the best MB specialist in the Midlands), which also included brake fluid renewal. Terra Clean Diesel process carried out last year with receipt too.
• All handbooks, owner’s manuals and service book in genuine MB wallet

• Fully working additional spare key with fob

• HPI fully clear under ALL conditions. No finance outstanding, never been stolen, not been written off by any insurance company etc, etc. A copy is present for the new buyer.


The car drives effortlessly and as it should, no funny noises and handles the road very well. Absolutely everything works as it should. Anything that it has required in its life it has had. I guarantee you will not notice its done 154k miles! This is the best all round engine in the C class model (204) and will easily do 300k miles (ask the European taxi drivers!). The engine literally is bullet proof.

New owner will be very happy. This is a reluctant sale, as it’s served us very well and for the money offers outstanding value. Compare the spec and the quality to its competitors. A lot of motoring for the money. Why buy the older shape when you can have the face-lifted model for the same money? Private plate will be removed and will be returned back to 07 plate. The private plate makes the car look like a 60/61 reg car.

Only reason for sale is a new upgraded C class is on its way :)
