Description
Truly, the most outstanding car I’ve owned! It’s probably
the most amazing car I’ve gotten to drive as well. I certainly enjoyed my
friend’s new 911 Carrera 4S and my other friend’s Grand Sport Vette, but I keep
coming back to this C63 AMG. Even after three years of owning the car, every
time I walk up to it, sit in it, start it, and drive it I get so excited.
Whether it’s the paddle shift on the steering wheel or the ability to bump the
gear shift side-to-side, hearing the car slowing or quickly move through the
gears is the most incredible sound! Maybe it’s the RENNtech ECU tune providing
an additional 66hp, completely unnecessary but oh so fun, from the stock 451hp.
Or maybe it’s just that amazing!!!
Last Summer, I tried starting the car and it just didn’t seem right. White smoke coming out the four exhaust tips is not good either. After having the car towed to the nearest dealership, they discovered a bolt had come loose on the engine allowing the head to separate enough to cause the problem. To find the loose bolt, the mechanics had to remove the engine from the car, dismantle the engine, and rebuild it! While I certainly missed the car those few weeks, I got something completely unexpected back in return. From a dead stop, where I once was able to hit 89mph, I now can consistently hit 95-96mph! The difference can be felt in town too. The car is noticeably snappier and more responsive every time the “go” pedal is pushed. Take a moment and watch the clip on Top Gear. (
