Description

Hi and thanks for looking. This listing is for my Mercedes E320 CDi Elegance, Automatic, diesel 7 seater. Most people assume that the Avantgarde is the top specnot true. The Avantgarde has a firmer ride due to the 'sportier' suspension and has several other minor aesthetic differences. The spec is down to how much further you're prepared to dig into your pockets when you order one from the main dealers! My point is this, see how many Avantgardes you can find with factory Xenon headlamps, A/C and factory tilt/slide sunroof, heated leather seats, drivers electric memory seat and electric memory steering column, SEVEN seats, cruise control, power folding mirror option etc etc.
On top of these items she's got the usual soft closure tailgate, electric windows x4, Mercedes Benz 'swan neck' removeable towbar and electrics, CD changer option, central locking, headlamp wash, Self Levelling rear suspension, dog guard/load cover etc etc. The M111 (Miller etc) private plate IS STAYING with this car. This is valued at £395 on its own. This straight 6 CDi engine is so good that it was the first diesel engine ever to be fitted to a (European) flagship W220 Mercedes 'S' Class.and it's still a breathtakingly powerful engine that can return over 40 MPG on a run. The rearmost seats (with full 3 point inertia factory seatbelts) fold completely flat when not in use. These are the last of the proper 'BIG' Mercs with enough room in the back for a wardrobe or even a small party..you can comfortably sleep 2! The kids love sitting in the rear facing seats so that they can wave to everyone.
Pictures probably make the bodywork look slightly better than in the flesh but I'll list any issues and anything that doesn't work, so we all know where we stand. There is some surface 'bubbling' to both rear arches but you can grab them with both hands and pull as hard as you like..they're solid. Someone has painted the off-side rear quarter with a 'rattle' can but it looks OK. There are various 'touched in' bits here and there but she's otherwise presentable for a 213,000 mile car. The bodywork has no filler at all. Drivers heated seat not working and drivers electric headrest no longer adjustable, rear wiper currently not working, slight crack to rear bumperthat's it!
There are NO MALFUNCTIONS showing on the drivers computer and there are 8900 miles left until the next service. If you're more interested in buying a quality, very well engineered German diesel 7 seater car, rather than buying something that will win your local village "Prettiest Estate Car" competition, then this might be the car for you. In my ownership, she's had a full service, new MAF sensor, rear brakes/park brake stripped down and new pads, 2x injector washers replaced, intake manifold (swirl flap) issue addressed and EGR valve cleaned. Since doing this, she now smokes a bit, which is odd as it didn't smoke prior to this. I am reliably informed that this is because the EGR valve should have been blanked off.an easy DIY job if you can be bothered. Starts first turn of the key (there are 2 present, plus the factory master key), DOES NOT use any oil or water and runs fine. I would be happy to load my family into this car and drive around Europe. She's definitely not new so please don't expect it to be. Come and see it and drive it home! Crap offers will be ignored.find a better specced one with a free private plate.
