Description

This E55 AMG is a 2 owner car as I bought it from an Audi dealership in 2007. The first owner traded the car in for a 4-wheel drive after moving from California. I shortly moved to Florida afterwards so the car has mostly only seen California and Florida roads and has been lucky enough to never have seen snow or salt as it spent most its days as a garage queen.
I purchased this E55 with 42k miles on it and as of today she only has 62k miles and has spent a papered life in my garage. The interior and exterior is very clean, leather is in excellent like new shape and everything including all electronics works as they should. I would give the interior a 9.8 out of 10. I recently spent over 4k replacing the rear main seal, transmission service, reseal differential, shifter bushings and new alternator. I also replaced the Bosch air mass sensor a sun visor and had a major service done including new plugs, fuel filer, air filter, oil (always Mobil 1 0-40 synthetic). With the replacement of the alternator the idler and belt-tensioner were replaced too. In 2010 (at 50k miles) I replaced all tires with Yokohama S-Drive tires that have only about 12k of highway miles and are hardly worn. The tires are great on the car and provide a very smooth and quiet highway ride for a performance car while handling rain with ease. The rims are in great shape however the polished outer rim clear-coat is cracking in some places. This is common and an easy detailing fix. The engine runs smooth as silk and is void of any ticking, belt or bearing noise. The paint is in excellent shape other than some very small nicks as expected with a car of this age. The paint is very clean and looks almost I would give it a 9 out of 10.
I also have upgraded W211 style keys for the car so all 4 car keys will be included with the sale (shown in pic). I have both original keys with key code plate and the original owners manual and assorted documentation for the car. I also have the original CD leather pouch for the nav cds with updated Navtech CD's from 07.
An auxiliary MB oem plug has been attached to the command Nav/Audio system for use of an ipod or mp3 player in the glove-box. The only non OEM item on the car is the an AMG hood badge I purchased to replace the stock star. The flat hood badge gives the car a nicer lowered/cleaner look. A MB OEM star can be purchased $28
I never planned on selling this E55 as it had been one of my favorite cars. This car is in very good condition with low miles and if maintained properly, it will run forever. I have purchased a newer G-wagon and find myself not driving the E55. Recently, the E55 has found herself sitting alone in the garage and I have realized it's time for her to find a new home especially since she is taking up valuable garage space.
In the spirit of full disclosure I will try to illustrate any know issues for anyone as particular as myself. Most motor mounts on these cars are replaced by 50k miles. The motor mounts on this car have not been replaced and although seem decent, I am starting to feel a very slight amount of vibration at idle. Mounts are fluid filled and only cost about $65 a piece and you should have a star certified mechanic install them. It is not pressing just something you would want to address over the next year or two. Over the rear wheel arch there seems to be some pitting in the paint (shown in pic). Right mirror has a very small scuff that is barely noticeable(shown in pic). Hood has some very small nicks from road debris but can be easily covered/filled with touch-up paint. I have included a pic of hood but it is not visable. There is a very light scuff on the bottom front right bumper apron. Again, I am a stickler for detail so many of these items may not even be noticed by the average buyer, however I feel its better to disclose so you have a full picture of the car and the care I have taken of it.
Overall the car is in really excellent shape. She runs/drives like a new car and pulls stronger than any other luxury sports sedan I have been in. You won't find a cleaner E55 than this on the internet. You get the luxury of a Benz with the performance and handling of a 5.4 liter v8 AMG engine - it really doesn't get any better than this, and once you drive this car you realize why the original sticker was in the 90k range.
PLEASE serious bidders only - please do not bid if you do not have the money or do not plan on paying for this car. I will start the bidding at $11,800.00 with no reserve and look forward to her going to good home. Car has clean Florida title and Carfax. Buyer is responsible for shipping/pickup although I am more than happy to help coordinate with any shipping service. $250.00 Paypal deposit required upon sale with full amount to be paid by cashier's check or cash within 7 days of auction end. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
