I searched long and hard before purchasing this vehicle, and truly believe it is one of a kindfor a few reasons
-2008 is last year of the M113 engine - which many believe to be far superior and reliable than the M273 (timing chain issues and overall less longevity).
-The 2008 has the updated cluster gauge and headunit/navigation as compared to the earlier models. In my eyes the 08 is in the "sweet spot" of drivetrain and interiors.
-This car has spent its ENTIRE life (minus the last 6 months) in the west coast in a heated garage. During my ownership it has also been garaged. This car has NEVER seen snow, and rarely seen rain. I personally could not find a single G500 without significant rust issues other than this one. See closeup pics of all the common problem areas which are free of rust (windshield, rear door, underbody).
-Both the original owner and myself are meticulous car owners to a fault! The original owner (for 13 years) was single and never used the rear seats. Both the driver and passenger seats had seat covers. In my ownership, this was rarely driven (4th car). I would grade both the interior and exterior a 9.5/10.
-The amount of preventative maintenance on this car is really what sticks out. In the last 2 years, this car has had over $15,000 in PREVENTATIVE maintenance - all performed at Mercedes Benz of Beverly Hills. Work includes brand new brake pads and rotors, new fuel filters and pump, replacement of cylinder heads/gaskets at 140,500 miles, and previous owner prophylactically replaced all vent hoses, brake booster vacuum plugs, ignition coils and much more (I told you he was meticulous).
-Prior to my purchase it had a "MPI Mercedes Benz World Class Inspection."
-No accidents. Never off-roaded
Tasteful/Subtle modifications include
-Borla Type S exhaust - amazing sound
-updated G63 front grille/LED headlight surround
-G63 20 inch rims with tires <6 months old
-Chrome delete around the side panels and spare tire holder (professionally wrapped in Matte Black, which could easily be removed).
-Professionally tinted.
-Tranzlt BLU Bluetooth that syncs with the OEM radio
-WeatherTech mats
