Description
Selling Vintage Mercedes.
Model: Mercedes-benz 250 (1978) 4D Sedan 4 SP Automatic
It was driven for a few years, 0 to 40,000 Kilometres, when first purchased in 1978. From circa 1981 to 2010 it was stored under blankets in our garage.
In 2010 It was re-registered & roadworthy. The Benz was used as a second car [predominately country/hwy miles] for a few years.
Registration expired last week. It is being offered for sale without roadworthy and registration. I estimate little required
to gain roadworthy certification. The tyres are recent, there is no rust, the car is, although being old, in a state that is brand new.
The Interior is unaltered and free from any wear. It has a Becker Cassette player and an unopened box of first aid equipment.
The exterior is also in new condition. The condition of the cream duco is that of a much younger car. With the
exception of two stone chips at the front and a scratch on the passenger door, the overall exterior is marginally shy of perfection.
Mechanically the car is very good. Engine and transmission are original and mechanically fine. Again, the condition you would expect of any
car at 100,000k.
Following is a list of imperfections that require attention:
Driver side window and window winder require attention. Arm winder is not attached, I have the winder. The lever to pull the bonnet open has detached from the cable. I have been using pliers to pull the cable. The car is due for a service.
