Reason I am selling:
This was my wife’s car but she is doing more and more miles and we only have two children so there are rarely more than three people in the car. We now have a smaller Skoda which meets our needs more appropriately.

Condition:
This is an exceptionally presentable car. The bodywork is very clean and straight and it looks well. There are of course some blemishes and scuffs, commensurate with the age. Also, it is a Mercedes ML and these vehicles do suffer from rust. While this is just starting in a few places, it is by no means a problem and it is not visible unless close to the vehicle. The car is regularly cleaned and it has not progressed quickly. If you are looking at this car, you will know that this is common but most will be far worse than this one. This car looks a lot more expensive than it is.
I had this car independently inspected by a mechanic when I bought it and he gave it a clean bill of health.
The interior is very good indeed. No rips or tears in the leather.
Alloys are all tidy too.

Service history:
Services are normally due between 9,000 and 18,500 miles or between 12 to 24 months, depending on driving style (this is from Mercedes’ website).

At the screen price, I will have another full service carried out before you collect the vehicle and any issues identified rectified. As it has only just had an MOT, I don’t expect any problems.

Issues:
All of the common electrical issues that affect these cars have been dealt with. The speed sensing devices have been serviced and replaced and as such the ABS, traction control, ESP etc are all functioning correctly. The only things that I can think of are that the glow plug light takes a few moments more than it should to extinguish – this has always been like this and it has never failed to start; the sunroof wind deflector needs to be clipped back together as it came apart once when I used the sunroof – I have got the bits, just never got round to doing it; the folding mirrors sometimes fold slightly out of sync. Otherwise, everything works perfectly.
Please come and look at the car. First to see will buy, I don’t doubt. I looked at loads of these when we bought it and this was the best. It is also seriously low mileage. These engines will go on for many hundreds of thousands of miles and you will probably have seen plenty advertised with over 200k on the clock. This has a lot more motoring left in it than the others at this price. I am open to offers but please bear in mind the mileage and specification when deciding on a figure. I have a friend in the trade who thinks I should ask more but I would like to get the car a new owner sooner rather than later.
