Unimog is a range of multipurpose auto four-wheel drive medium trucksproduced by Mercedes-Benz. In 1955, the first Unimog 404 S series wasproduced. The primary customer of the 404 S was the Federal West Germanarmy, which was re-arming in the face of the Cold War. The 404 wasintended to be a mobile Fire Pumper Truck. The 404 S is the most popularly produced variant.Mercedes-Benz produced more than 64,000 between 1955 and 1980.This Fire Pumper Truck his in fine shape andislooking for some off-road adventures. After climbing into the cab, youwill see the gauges are original and in German, and the seats arewithsome wear from usage but appear original.The exterior is a Ripe Engine Red, with a roof mounted spare and ladder The Unimog has it's fully intact and operation water pump with a significant amount of accessories included as shown including new/never used hoses and fire hose fittings (all accessories shown are included). Pump and hoses work fine, I had the distance at almost 200' range!The engine is a Mercedes-Benz six-cylinder OHSC M180II engine that we willnote runs on gasoline, not diesel. This engine is mated with an six-speed manual transmission with low and high gear options, anddespite its size this beast runs and drives well with minor needs for a complete original operational vehicle!Also please note unit not designed to drive at speeds exceeding 40MPH with current gearing!Mileage on this Unimog currently reads 20,338. K and the VIN is404115033025. It is being sold on a clear Kentucky title. GET OUT ANDDRIVE! Known issues: Some of the lighting is not working, windshield wipers not working, head liner needs replacement, missing the air-filter and mount for carb, large paint chip missing on driver rear side, very little rust!
