Description
A 1996 Mercedes Benz S500, Black over Silver with black interior.
It has been with us since February of 2008 and we are reluctant to let it go, but space and time to get it to 100% is not there.
It was inspected about seven months ago and recommended that the rear lower control arm bushings be replaced, the transmission mount needs to be done as there is a vibration through the car because of it. The drivers door regulator needs to be replaced and the driver seat started to have difficulty reclining. There is a beige drivers seat in its place and the original is stored for the leather to be changed over, again time has been against us.
I have been told that this was originally an ambassadors private transportation hence the heated rear seat, they also recline and the headrests at the back can be controlled individually at the rear or the driver can control both. There is also an overhead entertainment center for DVD movies with wireless headsets to compliment, the radio channel is 88.7 and can also be used over the car speakers.
It was keyed down the drivers side a couple of years ago but was painted over.
Now it has a new fuel pump, alternator and the suspension sphere's were replaced about five thousand miles back. It has extra dark tint for the purpose it was first used for.
I think this is quite a unique Benz as all the ones I have seen listed do not have the rear reclining features.
