Description

You are looking at a very nice 1987 560SL roadster. All the knowledge to get you started on the quest for ownership of the iconic Mercedes on the worldwide web at 560slmercedes dot com on the internet.
This car just came out of storage. Let me give you the history on thecar. The car is a two owner car. It was bought in 2006 from a business executivein Tulsa, Oklahoma by an elderly couple and relocated toDallas, Texas. This couple kept the car in their parking garage of thehigh-rise condo tower until they passed away. Last fall, their children took the car from the parking garage to the service department for a battery and a tune-up. Like many familyestates, the siblings began fighting over cash and the car was ignored. Iwas asked to buy the car from the estate before it became abandoned and tied up in litigation. The Texas Title is free and clear.
The current market value in the NADA Guide is as follows:
High Retail $21,500 Average Retail $11,750
Low Retail $9,100
As you can see from the pictures, the car is very clean and needs verylittle to be in near perfect condition. The leather is in great shape. The rugs are nice. The soft top is in very good condition. As you can see in the pics, the hardtop was wrapped in bubble wrap and was just pulled out of storage with the car. The car comes with the complete tool kit and has a very high quality car cover in the trunk.
Any flaws in this descriptioncan be easily addressed by a local restoration company immediately afterpurchase and the car can be delivered to you in excellent condition. Iam a Mercedes collector/enthusiast and know how to evaluate and put aclassic Mercedes back into tip-top condition. I can only find a fewflaws on this car. They are as follows:
Drivers door dent and window replacement (the car door was mistakenly open when backing the car up in the garage).
Front chrome bumper cover replacement (this is just a chrome trim piece that covers the top of the bumper).Alloy wheel reconditioning (this is normal at this age to do to make the car immaculate).
New Michelin tires (the car was designed for this tire. I put them on every Mercedes I own).Fluid change and minor tune-up (this is normal at this age and especially after very little usage in the last couple years). I have shown all of these flaws in the detailed pictures. If you took care of these five items listed above, this car would be near showroom condition. This is why I have the car priced at this amount. If you are serious, call me and we can talk more about that.
Also, as you can see from the pictures, the car is loaded on my personal car carrier and can deliver this car to you for an agreed amount after the sale. Again, I have been an enthusiast/collector for 30 years of Mercedes and other European, British, and American special interest automobiles. This car is a very clean car that needs very little. Please call me directly to discuss any questions you have at 817-715-6163. I am a motivated seller and can assist you in making the car near perfect before deliveryor you can take delivery as is and have your people do the work.
