Offered for an appreciating new owner is this rare classic 1987 Mercedes Benz 560SL Roadster!
Finished in midnight blue over saddle tan with navy blue canvas soft top, this 99.9% Texas and California car has been driven just over 106,700 miles as shown on its working six-digit odometer. Offered here with a LOW RESERVE, this '87 SL sports a 5.6 liter V8 engine mated to the factory automatic transmission, nice blue canvas top with clear window, redone front seat upholstery, electric windows, driver side airbag, alloy wheels with near new rubber and cd stereo.
This still stately roadster is offered here with clear and clean Texas title for less than the cost of the sales tax alone on a slightly used SLK Benz!

THE BODY AND TRIM
The exterior of this SL is in good to very good condition overall. The paint finish still has a deep lustrous shine with no signs of corrosion. It is NOT concourse perfect with a variety of rock nicks, paint chips, scratches and other cosmetic blemishes. The alloy wheels look to have been repainted in a poor fashion. The soft top has three small matching color patches and the window is clear and fresh. Overall this is still a quite handsome "driver-quality" example.
THE INTERIOR
The interior of this 560Sl is in fairly good presentable condition overall. The seats have been redone, the carpets are nice original as are the door panels. The vinyl dash and wood veneer have some heat cracking along with some small missing sections on the horizontal trim pieces. The electric windows, blinkers, lights and horn work fine, the a/c is not blowing cold and the stereo plays but barely with lousy reception and sketchy speakers. Overall this is a still solid classic German cockpit!
THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE
This 1987 Benz starts easily and runs fairly well with good power with some intermittent idle surging. The transmission shifts well, the exhaust is quiet and the suspension is fairly solid with good braking. There is some steering wheel play. This is still a solid top-down highway cruiser!
