Mercedes-Benz : SL-Class 190sl

I bought this car in 1997 and planned to do a total restoration. I drove it for a while and then started to dismantle it. It was last driven in 1998. The syncromesh in third gear is shot. The battery box and the passenger floor were rusted through and I replaced these. There was rust along the seams of the floor pans and I cleaned these with a wire wheel and then painted them with Por 15. I cleaned and painted some of the other parts. The driver's door has a lot of filler in it and there is filler in the left front fender so I assume it was involved in an accident. The metal of the left front headlight rim is also a bit wrinkled. This is not the original paint.I believe that I have most of the parts in various places around my house. I do have the bumpers but not the over riders. There is an incomplete tool kit that I have tried to make up over the years.
I have the soft and hard tops.
