Description
1984 Mercury Colony Park 6 passenger base wagon. 5.0 302 V-8 Fuel injected, automatic OD, power steering & brakes, A/C ( converted to R134 , works good) power windows inc. rear gate, AM/FM Cassette, cruise control (works) Most of which I believe is standard equipment on the Marquis / Colony Park. However this is low option car, it has the standard vinyl beach seat interior , no carpeting in rear compartment and standard 14' steel wheeIs with full covers, it does not have tilt steering wheel, power locks (ex tailgate which I believe is standard) or remote passenger side mirror. This is basically a Ford LTD wagon dressed as a Mercury Colony Park. 78,840 Miles, I believe the miles to be correct based on the nice original unmolested overall condition of the car. It has one older repaint in original color. Solid body no rust thru in floors or rockers or spare tire well, some inner seam rust in lower doors and lite scaling on the underside. Very nice original interior, no spits in seats or heavy wear or staining in carpets, no splits in dash pad but there is a hole where something was screw mounted to the top of the dash on the left side. I do not know the vehicles prior history, but it appears to always have been well maintained, adult driven and if it was a Wisconsin car it was not driven much in the winter. I have owned this car for three years a driven it several thousand miles and wouldn`t be afraid to drive it anywhere. It runs strong, no ticks or knocks and doesn't use oil or smoke, transmission is tight and shifts well. The only mechanical thing I`ve noticed is a slight whine in first gear, been there since I`ve had it and its never changed. All gauges work correct including fuel gauge and check engine lite, but it has never tripped the check engine all the time I`ve owned it. Recent Alternator, muffler & tailpipe.I was using it for garage saleing & flea markets and the painted floor of the cargo area could stand to be repainted. The tires are the great condition and are the correct size with white walls , rears have maybe 15k on them, the front tires I put on new. I have over $1500 in receipts for the just parts & labor I`ve put into it. I`m a life long 'Car Guy' (mostly Pontiacs, but I`ve always liked Mercurys) who`s been around & worked on cars my whole life. I like to buy nice stock unusual older cars to drive & enjoy. Car has a fair reserve and I am not a 'flipper' I have more it this car than I`m going to get. Feel free to call me with any questions,Car has a clear Wis title in my name. Only trades I would consider are Pontiacs of the same vintage or older in equal or better condition,
