Description

1971 MG MGB EXCEPTIONAL Barn Find
The previous owner stated that her father bought this new and owned it until his death. She had to sell it because it was just too small for her. This barn find comes with low mileage. It's all ORIGINAL except for the knock off mini-lite mags and new top & boot. This British racing green beauty is powered by a nicely purring 4 cylinder through a smooth four speed gearbox. It is near flawless for its original condition. Because it was garage kept and driven to car shows, there is NO RUST anywhere, which is very unique for this car at it's age. The tan interior is very nice. It features the original AM radio. The carpets, for their age, are also very nice. The windshield is cleared by three small wipers. The trunk is rust free and still has the original trunk mats. Underneath, it's rust free. The engine bay is all original and rust free.
Now the bad: It could use a clutch adjustment. There is absolutely still a lot of clutch left. The mechanic must not have connected the recently replaced speedometer cable, as it fell out of the back of the speedo this week. The defroster/heater fan isn't working. Not sure if it is a fuse.just didn't have time to check on it. These are the only things I found need attention.
I'd confidently drive this car to Florida from Connecticut. I was planning to do the adjustments and keep the car, but I've just been relocated to a job In California, so I need to part with this car. If you are an MGB fanDON'T MISS OUT ON THIS OPPORTUNITY!!
I will not kindly respond to anyone who is at an FBO or overseas and will sent a logistics company to pick it up after paying with a certified check, so don't waste precious your time.
