Hi
For auction is our lovely Austin Rover Mini 998 a series. It is a beautiful car and gets plenty of looks wherever it goes. It also has a stage one exhaust so sounds beautiful.
It just flew through an MOT with minor advisories on rear shocks and brake lines.
Unfortunately it was damaged in a collision in 2012 and categorised Cat C. This was a blessing in disguise as it meant we could restore many bits of the car. It had complete new front panel, grilles and bumper but we also replaced the inner and outer sills (corrosion) rear bulkhead crossmember, complete new rear subframe and handbrake cables. The car now is absolutely rock solid with only a few minor surface rust scabs coming through (see photos).
It's got a decent set of alloys and tyres on and finished in the cherry red and black looks the nuts!
Engine starts first time everytime and have just replaced the battery last month. Engine and gearbox are smooth and I change the plugs and point yearly and a complete service 4000 miles ago. Has also had new wheel bearings and discs and pads up front last year and only done a few hundred miles on as dry stored all over winter.
We've done the London To Brighton for the last 3 years running and it gets a lot of attention.
Interior is standard but in good condition and comes with a decent JVC CD head unit and 6X9's on the parcel shelf.
I will Tax the car this week for 6 months
Viewing is highly recommended and I have hundreds of photos of the refurb.
