1961 Morris Mini
Runs and drives. Great car to drive around in. I have owned the car for about 3 years. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I'll see that I can get you the answers. The car does have cosmetic imperfections. Mechanically speaking it drives good. It could use a full restoration however I have driven car around town and it does great and catches a lot of attention!
Car just had its brakes redone. This included a new master cylinder, new brake drum cylinders on all wheels, new brake shoes on all wheels, new brake lines on the front. The front brakes have twin leading shoes. Wheels are 10" with Yokohama tires on them.
Engine runs good and strong. Since I have owned car I have changed the oil regularly. I have been told by previous owner that the engine is not original and has been upgraded to a 1098cc engine. There is a straight pipe exhaust on the car and it sounds great! I believe it is a stainless pipe. The SU carburetors were tuned and oil has been kept in them. Transmission shifts smooth. Transmission is 4 speed manual. Mileage shows 66929 however this probably is not the total miles for the car.
Turn signals, horn, headlights, running lights, wipers, brake lights all work. Battery has been replaced last year and has a battery cut off switch inside the car just in case you want to store the car and want to disconnect the battery. There is a spare tire in the trunk with a Dunlop tire on it which looks to be the original. The doors have rust holes on the bottom as shown in the pictures. I have link to additional pictures. I would also highly recommend looking at the car in person. If you are out of town buyer and need more specific pictures please let me know what to take pictures of and I can send them to you.
The car does have an aftermarket sunroof. It has a little paint flaking off from the support rails. Windows all work and slide properly. Rear windows pop out and stay open when you want them to. The front seats have shoulder seat belts, rear seats do not have any seatbelts. The interior has newer aftermarket seats. The backseat is just an upholstered pad which looks original.
