Description

I bought this 2006 Mini Cooper 3 months ago, and it's a stunning car to own and drive. However, it has proved to be just slightly too small for my changing needs, hence the very reluctant sale.
Date of registration is 9th December 2006, so it's a 2nd Generation model, with greatly improved build quality over the earlier version. Do not confuse this car with inferior 1st Generation (pre-October 2006 registered) Minis.
MOT is until 24th April 2015 and it is taxed until 30th September 2014.
This car has been fitted with almost every conceivable extra, including:
Full black leather interior, with heated front seatsAir ConditioningCruise Control6-Speed Manual GearboxElectric WindowsElectric MirrorsNavigation and CD entertainment systemOn-board ComputerParrot Hands-free Bluetooth installedLeather steering wheel with controls for music and cruise control
Cosmetic condition is amazing. The paintwork is virtually unmarked, apart from a few tiny stone chips on the gloss black roof. Interior is near perfect, with no rips or serious wear to the leather. The 17" alloys have a few marks, as you'd expect, but nothing too serious. Overall I guarantee you will find it hard to believe this car has done anywhere near 101,000 miles.
The engine starts first time on the button, and feels responsive. The manual gearbox feels nice and tight, with a lovely smooth gear change. The 6th gear makes a massive difference to fuel economy and comfort at motorway speeds. The car is a pleasure to drive, and I will genuinely be sad to see it go.
In the short time I've owned the car I have replaced the air conditioning condenser and had the system re-gassed. I also replaced the electric fan at the same time, which worked fine but was too noisy due to a worn bearing, so the air conditioning is now fully sorted. The car also had a new catalytic converter fitted last week under warranty.
I had an oil and filter change with the correct BMW recommended Castrol Edge fully synthetic oil a few weeks ago, which was completed at 100,295 miles. There is a full service history included, with 10 stamps in the book. I have the V5 present in my name, and the car has had only 2 former keepers. I have all previous MOT certificates to verify the mileage, plus a clear HPI check, and the original BMW document wallet with it's User Guide.
Service history details are as follows:
Pre-delivery check - 05/12/2006
19,329 miles - 02/12/2008
35,141 miles - 18/09/2008
44,903 miles - 26/02/2009
72.675 miles - 25/05/2010
81,251 miles - 23/09/2010
89,163 miles - 03/12/2011
92,481 miles - date not shown
97,549 miles - 18/01/2014
100,295 miles - 18/06/2014
The only bad points I can think of are as follows:
(1) The GPS aerial appears to be faulty, which means the sat nav does not work. This was not a problem for me because I already have a TomTom which is far superior to the BMW system anyway. All other functions for the entertainment system, including the excellent quality CD player/radio, and on board computer, work fine.
(2) I have been told that the rear brakes will need replacing in approx 2000 miles. Not an expensive or difficult job, but worth a mention anyway.
If you need any more information, or need me to take any specific photos, please do not hesitate in contacting me.
Thanks for looking, and have a nice day!
