2007 Mini Cooper S R56 Facelift.I am the second owner of this car it has done 91000miles but looking at the condition you'd never think so, It has full BMW service history, I have recently MOT'd the car and it passed with no advisories in December so has 12 months MOT.
I have fitted some after market parts that improve the cars performance and handling, It has an AEM Induction Kit retailing at around £350 it also has been remapped to increase the horse power from 175bhp to 210bhp so now the car drives a lot more smoothly and has more power, I have also upgraded the front and rear brakes to drilled and grooved EBC discs and EBC pads which have only covered less than 1000 miles and they are still like new cost of theses was £500 including fitting. It also has upgraded coilover suspension which is adjustable if you don't like the car this low but it still drives very comfortably at the height it is set.
On the interior I have upgraded with genuine bmw mini parts all the dash inserts including secret glove box, door cards to piano gloss black which is a expencive optional extra and gives the car a 2010 look, it also has black headlining, abc pillars, sun visors and all accessories which is very rare in one of theses and really brings it up to date inside you wont find many with this interior, it has an aux and cd player, mood lighting which you can change to suit, the half leather sport seats are in really good condition no wear or tears on the bolsters and is generally like new inside with no wear it also has a rare multi function three spoke steering wheel with radio and cruise control, it has the visibility pack which is the heated front and rear screens, air con, it has sport button and traction control, xenon head lights, all interior and exterior lights all upgraded to white LED, Wheels have recentely been refurbed in gloss black and also come with 4 matching Dunlop SP runflat tyres, black jack handles on exterior, upgraded black light surrounds (JCW).
As you can see from the list above this car has had a lot of money spent on it and has been well looked after, if you are looking for one of theses minis you will probably already know they suffer with a few generic faults which if found can be replaced with upgraded parts to cure the problems as I found out therefore I have replaced the common timing chain and tensioner however this didn't cure the rattle so that was obviously okay but rest assured it has had a genuine timing chain kit including guides, it was then diagnosed as noisy tappets which were replaced with 16 genuine ones, this also didn't cure the rattle so at this point the bottom end was stripped and inspected more thoroughly and it was discovered that the bottom end bearing was worn therefore it was stripped and re built with upgraded bottom end bearings. All in all this was a very expensive fix so consider this when viewing minis as this was all repaired at a MINI specialist and being such a thorough investigation i can now assure you that the engine is A1 condition as they did a lot of investigating to find the noise and obviously replaced all the common issues first, It also had the BOV replaced at the same time as they are very common on the early ones to split but the upgraded part is much stronger.
