Description
Travelling a lot for the next year and need to sell my car.
The good: It's a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant, engine is running very well (118kmiles). New battery, starter, brakes (drilled and slotted rotors). The shocks and springs were upgraded about 50k miles ago to HR springs with KYB adjustable shocks. Leather interior and Cold air intake and decent rims (a little beaten up over the years). It has a stereo with MP3/DVD player. It's been a very reliable car since I got it back in 04/05.
Negatives: All problems are cosmetic.
It has been in 2 minor accidents. 1st one when I nudged a tow hitch, causing the hood to buckle up. Hood was replaced along with the radiator support. Neither have been painted.
2nd one about a year ago when a lady backed into me when I was going into a driveway. Caused a big dent in the rear 1/4 panel on the drivers side. It has not been fixed.
The drivers mirror got knocked off by someone. It was replaced but was going to wait until I painted the car before color matching.
When I bought the car it had some dents on the front right fender so I replaced it a while ago, but it is not yet painted. It also has one along the very bottom of the car which has not been repaired. The hood and fender have started to oxidize a little (surface only). There are several small dings around the car. The spring on the gas cap flap is broken (minor fix).
Interior wise - the leather is in very good condition. The top of the dash has cracks from sun damage, and the parking brake light sometimes comes on (parking brake cable needs to be adjusted).
As I mentioned the problems are cosmetic. It seriously needs a paint job. In it's current state it looks a bit beaten up, but runs very well. Would be great project/beginner car. It is smogged through Feb of 2015 and passed it easily.
