Description

The story with this 1996 Mitsubishi Triton GL X 2.8 non-turbo diesel is that I went to trade it on my new truck and what they offered me was crippling. There's been way too much money spent on it and it is such a good truck to let it go for such a ridiculous price so whatever I get above their trade in offer is a bonus for me.
History of the truck is; it was owned by the council in South Australia and a guy in Port Macquarie bought it. He sold it to another guy on the Gold Coast and I became of the owner after that. So I believe.
:::The truck does not come with a roadworthy:::
However it is registered until February so you can test drive it and arrange your own RWC if you want but the rego will be cancelled 5 days after delivery if still registered in my name.
It needs some work, it needs a new exhaust it needs a new tire on the front left-hand side (two matching tires come with it that will do the job) the other tires are getting close to being worn but still roadworthy. That's really the only thing I can think off apart from small incidental things that may need attention.
In the last three years of owning the truck I have done the rear bearings, the diff seals, break cylinders and new brake shoes. Just before Christmas I spent $600 doing the front bearings and a full service. I've replaced the centre bearing, it has a new radiator and a new Master Clutch Cylinder. She has big bore Ironman shocks and Ironman load helpers on the rear springs
Now for what you get with the car; aluminium bull bar, bash plate, spotlights lights, light bar, duel battery system, high lift jack, rod holders, it has new headlights with those fancy white light bulbs, hydraulic rams on the bonnet, CB radio, sheepskins, canopy ,roof rack (by the way the roof rack was made to carry a standard rooftop camper). It has a set of drawers in the tub and the wiring to connect up your batteries at the rear. There a scrub bars on each corner at the rear and a Hayman Reese towbar and a reverse spot light. It has Koito tail lights. There is also a brand-new snorkel still in the box which I never got around to fitting. To finish off there is a box of parts just belts, headlights, bulbs that sort of stuff.
This has been a great truck for me, it has done Beach work because I'm a fisherman there is surface rust on several spots (I never took a shortcut in cleaning it down after the beach) the panels are straight and it's never been in any major (or any that I know) accidents. It's an honest truck for what you get albeit a little slow. She has towed my camper for the last three years with no problems. I'm really sorry to see it go but I'm getting a bigger camper and I need more power.
Price so that I will make a bit more than my trade in offer but it's a lot less than what you would pay on the yard.
Inspection is recommended. I am at Thornlands 4164.
:::::::::The truck is listed elsewhere and I reserve the right to cancel the auction at anytime if not purchased for the Buy Now price. Please do not bid if this condition is unsatisfactory. ::::::::
