The Mitsubishi Pajero is a very cool 4x4 truck. These trucks are cheaper and more economical to own than the Land Cruisers of the same era. The vehicle is currently showing around 115K miles on it and has been serviced very well over the course of its life.
Brand new Michelin LTX tires were just installed. For the serious off-roader, upgrading the wheels and tires will provide greater off-road traction and performance. As seen in the photos, the exterior remains stock. But, with a design this cool, there's no need for many aftermarket parts. A factory grill guard and running boards are the only modifications to the exterior.
The interior of the Pajero shares the same boxy design as the exterior. It is simple, yet well executed and well laid out. The seats are comfortable enough even for extended road trips. The front drivers seats is suspension seat, you have to try them to see how cool it is. Not only does the suspension system soak up the bumps, the drivers seat does as well. Making it very comfortable to drive around in.
The front seats and middle row and third row seats are in fantastic condition. The HVAC controls function properly and both the heat and A/C work to keep you cool during summer months and warm in the winter months. And with the addition of the rear HVAC system, your passengers in the back can be comfy as well on long trips. The door panels have aged quite well, but do show some slight wear. The center armrest and the dash have held up very well over the last 30 years and do not show any UV damage or cracking. An Alpine head-unit has been added which has power and turns on. A new replacement deck is a quick and easy fix should you choose to do so.
Overall this Prado is super clean with a very well kept interior.
This Pajero is powered a turbo diesel engine. Getting up to highway speed is quick and easy for such a heavy vehicle although don't expect to win any races while doing so. Shifts through the automatic transmission are pleasant and without issue and the 4WD system has been tested and is functioning as it should be. This classic Pajero is up to date on all necessary maintenance.
This Mitsubishi Pajero has loads of cool features. Never sold in the USA, the Pajero is a pretty unique rig.
Averaging around 17 mpg, this Pajero is ready and waiting for an adventure!
