Genuine NO RESERVE auction!
Will not take offers on the side, This Ute will be sold to the highest bidder at auctions end so if you are interested have a bid. Best of luck!
Moving interstate and not taking her with me. Has been my daily driver for about 7years, I will continue to drive it to work until last day of auction, she’ll get a final wash and keys ready for new owner.
The Ute been amazingly reliable for me with a few quirks. It got me from a to b but I don’t think it would pass a roadworthy for interstate change of rego. Details below.
The good:
It’s a good looking Ute, as you can see from the tray it hasn’t hauled much just been driven to work and back.
- It has tinted power windows
- power steering
- good safety rating
- 2x genuine keys
- aftermarket CD player/ USB to stream Spotify etc though phone
- black aftermarket steel rims
- 2x checker plate under-mount lock boxes with keys
- black tinted bonnet protector
- black nudge bar
- 2x very powerful LED flood lights on front
- dash cam
- no rust
- is super cheap on fuel and cheap on rego with the 4cyl registration

The bad: “quirks”
Genuinely listing every ‘quirk’ I know of from my 7yrs of having her. I’m not a mechanic, but I’d say that with a good service due and some attention with someone handy with cars it can get be back to roadworthy standard no doubt.
Questions and inspections are welcomed
- It went through some hail in Brisbane the day I brought it, none bigger then 5cent coin, most not noticeable, never bothered me to fix (no cracks in an glass, wasn’t that bad)
- there are some lines on the bonnet and roof where the sun has faded the paint
- It pops out of 1st gear, (has done for about 5years) apparently it’s pretty common in the triton, if I have my hand on the gear stick it stays put and once you are rolling it’s stays in, all other gears are fine (someone mechanically minded will do great with this Ute)
- the handbrakes steel cable frayed and broke under the dash (would just need a solid clamp to join them again, (I parked it in gear and not on crazy slopes so hasnt bother me)
- the brake pads and front tyres will need to be changed both worn, maybe rotors machined? Thats usually done at 200kms?
- has two lights on the dash (each give or take a few months for about the last 3years) one is the check engine, has been scanned and it’s an exhaust sensor that’s dirty so haven’t worried about it, and oil light which i had full service and was told the diff, gearbox and engine oil was fine.. has been on for 3years never had problems with that.
- over the years the seal on the top of the petrol tank around the fuel pump has weathered and will need checking, when it’s filled up to 100% you get that petrol smell. (I usually only fill it 80% and it’s not a problem)
As I said it’s due a good service and if you are mechanically minded I’m sure this would be a great project / easy fix or do the minimum and keep driving it. Will continue to drive to work until end of auction and will have the custom plates taken off and rego cancelled, ready for new owner.

On 31-Jul-21 at 12:41:37 AEST, seller added the following information:Hey everyone,Have had quite a few questions will try to address on here.
Does it need new rotors or just refurb them?
I’m not a mechanic, but I don’t think they’d need replacing. but when you put your foot on the brakes when going above 60kms the drivers wheel vibrates. Like I said it needs a good service, maybe a wheel balance and rotate too, new pads and front tyres.
Is there any other damage or problems?
Definitely come and inspect if you’d like first hand view of the Ute, happy to do inspections in the afternoons. It is pretty much what you’d expect, few minor scratch’s and dints, seats could use a shampoo or seat cover if you can be bothered. The A/C works but isn’t currently functional: the belt that runs the A/C on the engine frayed so I brought a new one but have yet to have it fitted. The new belt will come with the sale. The engine could used some injection cleaner I’ve been told?,could be running slightly cleaner, definitely needs a service, maybe that’s done with a full service? In any event a full service and I’m sure it will be ready for the next owner.
Can you give me a transport estimate?
I am happy to drive it to the transport depot around the GC for the new owner. But I don’t have time to contact transport companies to get individual quotes for potential buyers. Happy to help however else I can.
Is it driveable as it is?
Yes, it’s still my daily driver. It does have a few running quirks, but I’m used to them I guess.
Will the Ute come with the registration?
I will be removing the plates and cancelling the registration prior to the new buyer picking it up. **so the Ute will be unregistered**
