Description
Here we have probably the lowest mileage 350Z GT currently available and a very reluctant sale.
I bought this car with just 9800 miles after being owned by an oil rigger from new who spent 6 months on and 6 months off. He had done approx 1000 miles a year during his ownership.
I was actually looking for a Honda S2000 at the time until a friend suggested i take a look at the Z. It was one of those cars that i hadn't really paid much attention to and we as a family had owned Honda's for many years. However, this one i spotted and called the seller as i couldn't believe the mileage. He confirmed the mileage was so and not a misprint so my friend and i went immediately to take a look.
The car was due a valet and the seller encouraged us to come and look once it was clean as it had been stood. We went anyway as it was a Sunday afternoon and the ad had only been online for a hour.
We arrived and sure enough it was dirty but you knew it was straight from the outset. The seller took me out in the car and after driving it for half a mile i decided there and then a deal was to be done. The car drove like new as you would expect with so few miles.
During my ownership i have replaced the exhaust. I fitted a full stainless dual system and a induction kit as can be seen under the bonnet. These are the only things that have been changed and is otherwise standard. The car has not been chipped or remapped. The exhaust is a Invidia Gemini full dual system which sounds well when it needs to but otherwise civilized under normal driving conditions. The car has also been under sealed.
After reading on the forums it was recommended that these cars need to breathe in order to get the best out of them so i replaced the air induction kit whilst changing the exhaust. This definitely makes a difference and results in better throttle response.
The car has been well respected using only Shell V power and always warmed up to operating temperature before driving. It has not been abused or red-lined. It has recently had a new set of Michelin Super Sport tyres as the original Bridgestone's had hardened with age. I thought the car drove well with the original tyres on but with the Michelin's its a different car.
I have recently replaced the drivers side window regulator as the motor packed up and it has had a new set of decent wiper blades. I have changed the oil twice during the last 6k. Other than that the car is as good as you could expect for it's year. It has a few minor age related marks and a very small nick in the windscreen which could be filled.
If you are seriously considering a rear wheel drive manual 2 seater then i don't honestly think you can beat these cars for the money. They are great fun, quick, comfortable, reliable and suprisingly good on fuel on a run. I have returned around 400 miles on a tank.
There are many cheaper Z's out there but i think this is worth paying the extra having had the exhaust, induction and tyres which have set me back around 2k. The car wants for nothing and has not missed a beat during my ownership. You will do well to find another Z that looks and drives as well as this one.
The car will come with 12 months MOT and is taxed until the end of July. The service book is stamped up to 9k and the remaining 2 oil changes by our family business.
Viewing is strongly recommended and the first to see will not be disappointed.
This is a very reluctant sale only due to help raise money towards a house purchase and will be sadly missed.
Please feel free to call for any other information. The car has just been valeted and will not be driven now until sold.
Thanks for looking,
