Nissan Figaro 1.0 Turbo Lapis Grey

Reluctant sale of my lovely Nissan Figaro 1.0 Turbo in Lapis Grey.
I have owned this car for 5 years and used it on a daily basis to and from work (which was local).
In 5 years I have only done 10,000 miles, the total mileage is 130408 km which is approx 81,500 miles
I have now retired and no longer use the car so have decided to sell it so someone else can enjoy using it.
This really is a car full of character and always gets lots of interest when out and about and is a real head turner.
The retractable top, which became one of Figaro's unique trademarks, is perfect for the summer months.
My car has the headlamp eyelids which are not present on all cars and also has the original polo hub caps.
I also have one original Figaro door/ignition key plus a new spare key.

The Nissan Figaro is a small retro car manufactured by Nissan.
The car was originally sold only in Japan. Despite this, the Nissan Figaro has become popular with owners in the UK, Ireland and South East Asia.
The Figaro was introduced at the 1989 Tokyo Motor Show under the slogan "Back to the Future". It was built by a Nissan special projects group called Pike Factory.
Only four colours were available, each colour symbolised a season of the year:
Emerald Green - Spring
Pale Aqua (blue) – Summer
Topaz Mist (beige) – Autumn
Lapis Grey - Winter.
When the car was launched, Topaz Mist was the least popular colour. There were only 2,000 produced in Topaz Mist hence they have become increasingly rare.
The Figaro comes fully fitted with leather seats, air conditioning, a retro look CD player and a retractable roof that completely folds into its own boot keeping the strong design lines of the car.
It was designed by Shoji Takahashi, who won a design competition with the car. One of his inspirations was Swatch who design identical watches changing only the colours. Takahashi also took ideas from many classical, European, and particularly Italian car designs.
Only 8,000 were originally available with an additional 12,000 added to production numbers to meet demand. Prospective purchasers had to enter a lottery to be able to buy one of these cars.
There are specialist dealers in the UK who supply parts and servicing for this car.
The Nissan Figaro has a number of high-profile owners including, amongst others, guitarist Eric Clapton. Most Figaro’s are now in the UK and prices are slowly rising and surely set to increase as time passes.
It has a three speed automatic gearbox; it was not available in any other way. The car has a capacity for four people. It does around 68 mpg and has a 75bhp output.
