Welcome to the passing on of the Elgrand fever to someone else (when you have one you'll know what I mean - they're simply awesome!)
We've owned our imported E30 3.2ltr Diesel Elgrand for over a year, the chap who owned her before us had been the owner from import and had cared for her meticulously! We've done our best too, but the scuff mark on the mirror, the slight oil mark on the carpet (from putting my bike in the back oops!) and the small score on the back of one of the seats (from carrying some drawers - which it did easy as the space in the back is immense!) are from us.
We get stopped all the time by people asking us what it is, and impressing that it looks like a new MPV, not a 17yr old one! We've taken her to France and back twice and loaded up the back with luggage, travel cots, bikes, bbq's, the kitchen sink and 2 adults 3 kids!!!
If we love her so much why are we selling? - she's a bit of a luxury in all honesty, and we sadly need to save money, so having two vehicles doesn't make sense anymore to us, but she'll make someone else a very happy owner for YEARS to come!!
I've listed the bad bits in the other section (there's so little of them!), so here's the awesome bits:
Seats that turn around and fold up and all sorts! --- Split zone (front and back) climate control with ice cold aircon, and remote control for the back passengers --- Mini-disk player (oh on that note, the stereo is the Jap one, which means the FM only goes up so far (no Radio 1!) and the TV/DVD player is analogue which I think means it doesn't work here where it's all digital, someone might be able to make it pic up something but we couldn't!) --- 4x New Tyres in May 2015 --- ONLY ADVISORY on MOT was "inner sills coroading" --- Leather seats --- storage storage storage (literally cubby holes everywhere!) --- Alloy wheels --- Jaw-dropping good looks --- mileage shows 150k approx, but this is part KM part Miles, the import cert shows 117km so I'm assuming it was changed to Miles then and has been since so approx 100k miles. --- no cambelt on these taxi type engines --- soft close automated rear doors --- full carpeting throughout --- rear door mirror so you can see where you're reversing --- interior and exterior in excellent condition for 17yr old vehicle!
I've got to sell her before the wife changes her mind and wants to keep this one, it's taken a long time to persuade her LOL!
