Description
The good news is thatit runs (not very well). Lots of of $ and work done but needs lots more (have receipts for much of the work done by me and previous owner).
Parts or Project vehicle: Body is in very good shape, a few very minor scratches and dents. Clear coat is burned off of the hood. Interior is a mix. Front is worn and torn (seats and carpets) - instrument panel is intact. Back seats good. Michelin tires are OK (my guess is they are about 60% worn). Spare tire on rear gate seems very good.
Engine/drive train needs LOTS of work and car leaks lots of oil. My mechanic passed me an estimate for:
1) Complete tuneup
2) Valve cover gasket (both sides)
3) Exhaust manifold gasket
4) Oil pan gasket
5) Front crankshaft seal
6) Power steering line/hose
Since then we've had an issue where the car lacks power going up hills and consumes much more gas than it should. Seems to have some problem changing gears (transmission was overhauled at 122,000k miles).
Timing belt, water pump, radiator, starter, hoses were replaced with trans. overhaul. Ignition switch is new as is rear wheel cylinder
The fan doesn't work (A/C and heat do seem to work). Needs windshield wiper blades, Brakes are squeaky - I had Firestone check them 6 months ago and there was about 50% wear.
The hydraulic arms on the rear gate are worn out (see photo) so gate does not stay open itself.
All remaining electrical accessories seem to work fine.
Please note: The car did NOT pass GA emission test.
