If you don't have your mum's/dad's/wife's/aunty's/uncle's/dog's or cat's permission to bid, don't waste anyone's time. This listing is a reluctant sale for a 1989 Nissan Patrol wagon, 4.2 petrol engine with auto transmission and a genuine seven seater wagon. This was going to be our Chev V8 repower and LPG kit project, but time has got away from us and we are spending too much time in our business.
Repairable rust on rear of turret as shown in pics - by repairable I mean anyone with welding ability will be able to easily plate the holes over and a panel beating apprentice said it was an easy jobeither welding plates over the rust or welding in a roof section from a wrecked wagon, either way I'm no welder and it didn't put me off when I bought it. The firewall save for a small piece three inches long on the joining seam is rust free, and the remainder along the rain channels and where the driver's door is, is surface and easily sanded and filled in. The body is very restorable, but this is also a great donor for a Hammer replica Hummer kit - this was a Central Queensland car most of its life so its nice and dry.
Auto gearbox shifts well and has no leaks. The Dellow kit we were going to use to adapt the Chev engine to the Nissan auto bolts straight in and the Patrol auto gearboxes are unbreakable. The old girl drives really well, and when you come to collect her, make sure you bring a bit of metho to get the moisture out of the fuel from being stored indoors for 6 months. All the doors shut cleanly and the inside though dusty from storage is in good nick. Good set of Sunraysias and 50% worn tyres. Brakes feel good and once the moisture is out of the fuel, I would have no problem driving it with a permit.
Fuel gauge is inoperative - I'm thinking its the sender which is common and easily fixed. Air con is inoperative, not sure whether its a regas or a part replacement. All window regulators are good, all doors shut nicely.
I have the dual fuel LPG underbonnet equipment for a gas conversion to a V8 with a 4 barrel carb if needed - its good American Impco stuff with a 325hp Model E converter and a big power CA425 gas carb with a rare low profile dual fuel carb adapter. If you win the auction, throw another $250 into my account on top of the winning bid and I'll put it in a box on the front seat.
Payment preferred is by bank deposit, and if I accept your offer which the listing is active, the Patrol will remain for sale until the payment is shown in my account. If payment not received within 48hrs, the Patrol will be relisted.
