Description
For sale is a 1997 Nissan Patrol GQ
Good points - The body is in very good condition-absolutely no rust AT ALL and no real panel damage. There is a small dent in the passenger side rear corner and the clear coat has faded on the roof and part of the bonnet. The vehicle has seen very little or no bush bashing at all- it is stock standard and totally unmolested-it had 2 previous female owners from the Picton NSW area who used it to tow a horse float-so it has never been in a coastal environment. The vehicle is a 7 seater.
The interior is immaculate-no tears, stains etc. (canvas seat covers included and everything works (electric windows, air conditioning etc.) It has an ipad/iphone car stereo player with Bluetooth and external microphone. The battery was replaced about 2 months ago and the vehicle braked, handled and pretty much did everything extremely well as it was my daily driver. Vehicle was regularly serviced (engine, gearbox, differentials transfer case etc. ) Registration is current until December 2015, requires a pink slip July 2016. Original service booklets are still in the glovebox.
Not so good points - the engine (tb42) has a suspected blown head gasket that occurred approx. 2 weeks ago. I was going to put a second hand motor in the vehicle and keep using it but a deal on another vehicle came up and we already have another 4wd so (regretfully) it is time for the patrol to go. I priced a good second hand tb42 and they are anywhere between $800 and $1200 for a good running engine or the vehicle would be perfect for a 4.2 (or 6.5) diesel upgrade. The vehicle does run enough to drive it onto a trailer.
